GENERAL TERMS OF USE AND VISITATION RULES
Terms of Use for the Website and Mobile Application
The Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka (hereinafter: TZGR) holds the rights to create and/or publish content and manage the website (internet portal), including its subpages (hereinafter: the Website), as well as the mobile phone application “VISITRIJEKA” (hereinafter: the Mobile Application).
A person using the Website and the Mobile Application (hereinafter: the User), by using them, unconditionally agrees to the application of these Terms of Use and is deemed capable of accepting these Terms of Use and understanding all risks associated with the use of the content published and available here.
Use of the content available on the Website and Mobile Application (regardless of whether it is freely accessible to any User or restricted through protected information technology systems and applications) is permitted solely in the manner and under the conditions set forth by these Terms of Use.
Any other use of the content available on the Website and Mobile Application is subject to appropriate legal protection and the application of legally permitted measures against the User and/or any third party benefiting from such use of the content available here.
Content published and available on the Website and Mobile Application includes text, graphics, trademarks, logos, photographs, phonograms, videograms, and other audiovisual content, computer applications and databases, as well as all other informational or technical materials, regardless of the method of display, publication, or their availability to the User.
The content published on the Website and Mobile Application is protected by intellectual property rights regulations, and any unauthorized use may constitute grounds for initiating legal action to protect these rights against the User by TZGR or a third party who is the authorized holder of the copyright. When publishing copyrighted content, TZGR will ensure the display of the author's name or the copyright holder's name in the manner that is optimally possible without incurring significant costs or implementing special technical solutions.
TZGR cannot guarantee the availability of the Website and Mobile Application at all times, on every type of device and browser, or through every communication connection. The Website may be temporarily or permanently unavailable, either fully or partially, due to technical or other reasons (maintenance, errors, communication outages, force majeure, decisions by public authorities, etc.). TZGR cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from the unavailability of the Website and Mobile Application. TZGR may, at any time, make changes to the Website and Mobile Application in any manner and form, including changes to the visual identity, design and architecture, content management system, and other application solutions related to the functioning of the Website and Mobile Application.
The content published and available through these Website pages and the Mobile Application is for informational purposes only and is sourced from places that TZGR considers reliable. However, TZGR provides no warranties, express or implied, of any kind regarding the accuracy, timeliness, completeness, or suitability of the content for any particular purpose or specific use. The User uses this content solely at their own risk, and TZGR cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the use or interpretation of the content. The published content and information do not, in any way, constitute an offer or invitation to make an offer for trading or any other transaction related to the published content and information.
TZGR grants the User a limited, non-transferable, and non-exclusive permission to view, print, copy, or otherwise use the content of these Website pages and the Mobile Application solely for personal and non-commercial use or for the purpose of promoting Croatia as a tourist destination, provided that the downloaded content is not altered or degraded in any way (including publication on the Website or Mobile Application of morally inappropriate content) and that TZGR is credited as the source along with the name of the author of the respective content. Any other use or purpose of the content is permitted only with prior written consent from TZGR and/or the lawful copyright holder of the content, granted exclusively to the person to whom such consent is given, and only in the manner and for the purpose specified in that consent.
Access to the Website and Mobile Application is available to an unlimited number of users with appropriate computer equipment and an internet connection. TZGR reserves the right, in certain cases (maintenance, errors, communication outages, force majeure, decisions by public authorities, etc.), to temporarily or permanently restrict, either fully or partially, access to the Website and Mobile Application for all users, individual users, or groups of users. In any such case, TZGR cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the restriction of access to the Website, Mobile Application, or published content.
When accessing the Website, Mobile Application, and content, the User is required to use standard technical equipment and usual standards and methods of accessing the Website and Mobile Application. The content published on the Website and Mobile Application may only be searched using permitted information technology methods, in a manner and to an extent customary for an individual User. Any other method of searching and/or using the content that circumvents protected information technology systems or applications, or involves the use of certain applications or tools for simultaneous downloading of data volumes not typical for an individual User, constitutes a violation of TZGR’s protected rights. The User shall bear appropriate material, criminal, or administrative liability for such violations.
The Website and Mobile Application may contain third-party content such as forums, screensavers, applications, and similar, which third parties may independently download or create. TZGR does not guarantee that such content is entirely free of third-party rights, especially concerning intellectual property. For these reasons, TZGR is not responsible for any damage that may arise to the User from the use of third-party content in any sense, whether resulting from third-party claims or malfunctioning of the downloaded content.
TZGR reserves the right to modify or remove (temporarily or permanently) any content or service on the Website and Mobile Application at any time without prior notice and cannot be held responsible for any damage resulting from such actions.
The Website and Mobile Application also contain third-party information and/or links to other internet content. TZGR is not responsible for the content on external data sources accessed through links on these Website pages and the Mobile Application, nor does it endorse or direct users regarding the terms of use for such content.
TZGR cannot guarantee the availability of external content or the proper functioning of links to it and cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the use of or access to such content. The User is solely responsible for deciding whether and how to access such content through links on the Website and Mobile Application and is aware of the potential consequences of such actions.
TZGR respects the privacy of its Users of the Website and Mobile Application and takes care to protect personal data in accordance with applicable regulations and the Privacy Policy, which more specifically governs the collection, use, security, storage, deletion, transfer of personal data, and the use of tools.
For the purpose of collecting certain data about User activities or requests, TZGR may use small files called "cookies" that are stored on the User's computer and serve specific purposes. In line with this, TZGR publishes a corresponding Cookie Policy on the Website, which Users are informed about appropriately upon their first access. The Cookie Policy describes the types of cookies TZGR uses and their purposes, and informs Users about the option to refuse acceptance of cookies or to accept them, thereby consenting to their use as described. In such cases, TZGR cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the storage and use of cookies in the manner and for the purposes to which the User agreed by accepting the Cookie Policy. The Cookie Policy is published separately from these Terms of Use but forms an integral part of them.
By default, visitors’ browsing of the website and mobile application is tracked by Google Analytics to generate anonymous statistical data used to improve the user experience.

TZGR may grant access to certain content only to registered Users. By registering on these Website pages and the Mobile Application, the User is obliged to complete the registration process, provide truthful information, and choose a username and password.
TZGR reserves the right to terminate or deny the use of a user account and/or one or more services for which the user is registered, without prior notice and/or explanation.
TZGR is not responsible for any damage resulting from the termination of the user account and/or one or more services for which the User is registered, nor for any damage caused by unauthorized use of the user account by third parties.
If any provision of these Terms of Use is later found to be invalid, that fact shall not affect the remaining provisions of these Terms of Use, which shall remain valid.

These Terms of Use have been effective since May 16, 2023. TZGR reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time and shall not be held responsible for any consequences arising from such changes. The changes take effect on the day they are published on this website.
